What does Terrain mean? The type of terrain the shoe performs best on. Our trail running and hiking shoes fall into one of three categories: moderate terrain, all terrain or technical terrain.
Heel to toe drop

What does Heel to toe drop mean? Heel to toe drop is the difference in height between the heel and the forefoot. In a shoe with a drop of 7mm, your heel will sit 7mm higher than your forefoot. Shoes with a lower drop tend to place more load on the ankles and are generally better for midfoot and forefoot strikers. Shoes with a higher drop tend to place more load on the knees and hips and generally better for heel strikers.
